Cat. 456; This is the second known MS. of the Atharvaveda Sanhita in the Paippalada recension, which was for the first time discovered by Dr. Roth in 1875 A.D. Our MS. is quite independent of Roth's Ms. which is written on birch-bark and belonged to the library of the late Maharaja of Jammoo and Kasmir, Ranavir Singh. It is incorrect in several places, but on the whole is certainly valuable for collation purposes. An edition of this recension, by cromo-photography has been brought out by Bloomfield and R. Garbe at 1901 at Baltimore, from the birch bark MS. mentioned above. FF nos. 11 and 173 to 175 are missing.
