Vel. Cat. 163; The Nidanasthana of Vagbhata's Astangahrdaya with Sarvangasundari by Arunadatta, son of Mrgankadatta, who lived in the 15 th century according to Jolly, Medicine, p.8; but in the opinion of Hoernle, Osteology, p. 17, Arunadatta lived in the beginning of the 13th century at the latest, since a certain doctrine of Arunadatta regarding the structure of the eye is controverted by Vijayaraksita in his Madhukosa, and also because he was consulted by Vacaspati in Atankadarpana, which he wrote probably in the latter half of the 13th century.
